Identity Theft – What to do RIGHT AWAY!

The Federal Trade Commission (the ‘FTC’) advises the following steps should be taken immediately upon discovering you have fallen victim to identity theft.

1. Call the companies where you know fraud occurred
2. Place a fraud alert and get your credit reports
3. Report identity theft to the FTC @ identitytheft.gov
4. You may choose to file a report with your local police department
